Here is my list of nine “Do’s” to ensure you are ready for your shoot!
1. Drink your water
The best way to have your skin naturally glowing is to keep it hydrated. So for at least two weeks before your shoot, make an extra effort to drink your water.
2. Wear loose clothing before the shoot
We don’t want you having restricted blood flow that leaves red marks on your skin. So the best recommendation I can give you is to put on a loose dress.
3. Wear sunscreen
If you like the outdoors and enjoy going to the beach don’t forget to put on your sunscreen to protect your skin from sunburns.
4. Touch up
If you dye your hair, get your hair done a week or so before the shoot. Shave or wax if desired no later than the day before the shoot. That way, it’s super recent but not so recent that you can still see the irritation that it can sometimes cause.
5. Care for your hands and feet
Get a manicure and pedicure. In my experience not having it brings insecurities when shooting. There will be some detailed pictures where your hands and feet will be noticeable.
6. Practice getting comfortable with yourself
Spend some time in front of the mirror. Be aware of what side you like more if there’s one. Practice putting your shoulders back (I’ll ask you to do this a lot during the shoot). Just get to know your body and give it some love and positive feedback. Remember, nothing makes a woman look more confident than feeling good and in love with herself.
7. Spend Time Trying On and Testing Outfits
Spend some time figuring out what makes you feel you. What makes you feel comfortable and sexy at the same time? Try a bunch of things on and choose the ones you like the most when you see yourself in the mirror.
8. Relax
I’m here to help you through the process and make you feel beautiful. There is no need to stress or get uncomfortable. How you feel will be reflected in the pictures, so relax, I GOT YOU.
9. Stretch
This is so important. Posing is like getting a workout, so I highly recommend you to stretch. But be gentle with yourself, we don’t want you to get hurt. Consider some daily yoga 🙂
